Rehearsal Schedule: Godspell

For Cockett 1 & West X 1

If regular attendance at weekly classes is maintained and all the chidren in Cockett 1 and West X 1 attend the Margam weekend as called and the rehearsals listed below, then I am able to keep additional rehearsals to the following:

• Friday April 30th to Sunday May 2nd

  2-4pm @ Cockett
• Friday July 2nd
  6-9pm @ Ponti Arts Centre Full Dress Rehearsal
• Sunday July 4th
  2-4pm @ Cockett
• Wednesday July 7th
  4:30-8:30pm @ Cockett
• Friday July 9th
  Tec/Dress Rehearsal @ The Grand 4pm-9pm
• Saturday July 10th
  Tec/Dress at 10am with performances @ 2:30pm and 7:30pm

Margam New Facilities! (not the old house!!) Where we had a great time in Jan!

*Chidren in Years 4, 5, 6 and 7 should stay for the 2 nights residency @ Margam. Total cost for this is £70.50 per child which includes all meals, en suite rooms with 4 sharing, staffing by CRB checked members of Margam and CATS, all bedding. Any parents are welcome to pop over during the weekend to offer support during the rehearsals.

I will issue a letter with more details nearer the time but please send to me in a clearly marked envelope a deposit cheque for £20.00 if you have not already done so, made payable to Field Studies Council by Feb half term. The balance of £50.50 will need to be paid by April 1st. Those children in Year 3 (and those in Year 4 who prefer not to stay overnight) will need to attend on Saturday May 1st from 9.30am until 5.30pm only.

They need to provide a packed lunch and snacks and there will be a –10.00 charge towards use of the facilities and staffing. Consent/Medical forms will be issued to all children nearer the time.

Costumes for the performance at The Grand

Costumes for the show are to be drawn from every day wear which hopefully you can select from your child’s existing wardrobe. I will, however, keep you updated should the need for anything else arise and when I can be more specific.

Tickets will be on sale at The Grand Box Office 01792 475715 from the beginning of March. Your child will be in both performances on Sat July 10th @ 2.30pm & 7.30pm

Haiti Fund raising concert

On Sunday May 9th @ St James’ Church, Uplands, I would like your child to appear in a charity concert I am organising for the disaster in Haiti. More details next week!
