Theatre Performance Skills Workshops

one of Class Act Theatre Schools Productions

For all students in Year 9 and above

On Thursday February 25th at St David’s school in West Cross the Welsh National Opera has selected our Theatre School to deliver a free workshop from 5:40-8pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with this renowned company and learn from the experts. They will be delivering a workshop tailored to our particular needs and I would like as many of my students who are in Year 9 and above to attend. Please give your name to me asap if you will be taking up this great (and free) opportunity by attending.

Thanks,
Jill

At Class Act Theatre School we place great importance on all our students experiencing a variety of Theatre Performance skills. In April 2007 we held 4 days of intensive workshops involving over 90 students at Pontardawe Arts Centre where the students worked with a variety of professional artists. The students aged between 7 and 18 years experienced Circus Skills, Acting for Television, Character Building exercises, Vocal training, Musical Direction, Musical Theatre and Stage Combat techniques.

The workshop culminated in a performance by Guy Masterson of the acclaimed Fern Hill followed by a postshow talk.

Belonging to Class Act, students are encouraged to experiment with new forms of Theatre, and a workshop such as this provides a perfect forum for this to happen.
