It didn't take long for Kayte to realise he true passion for the arts and so took every opportunity to perform and develop her skills. At Bishop Vaughan RC Comprehensive school,She took on the role of Dance and Drama Captain under the watchful eye of Jill Williams ( founder of CATS) as well as perform leads in many of their school productions; Annie, Babes in Arms, Grease, The Wizard of Oz and other dance and performance events.
As her passion and enthusiasm grew for the arts, so did the desire to develop her skills at a more academic level and so, Kayte opted for GCSE and A Level Drama and Dance; achieving top grades which allowed her to follow her dreams and study Drama and Performing Arts at university. It was at this point Kayte made a conscious decision to follow the teaching route and so, went to Aberystwyth University to complete her PGDE in Drama & English Secondary Education. Having such a role model in Jill Williams ,Kayte knew that the teaching route was exactly where she wanted to be. So much so, she is currently Head of Performing Arts at Ffynone House School, Swansea's leading Independent school as well as Principal of Neath CATS.
